Skoda Auto has launched the new Slavia 1.0-TSI in India at Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Skoda Slavia will be available in Active, Ambition and Style variants. Prices of Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI will be revealed on March 03, 2020.
The Skoda Slavia is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. The Skoda Slavia is 1,752 mm wide, 1,507 mm tall, 4,541 mm long and has a ground clearance of 179 mm. It’s the widest car in the segment and offers a class leading boot capacity of 521 litre.
Slavia’s cabin is dominated by free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and the dual tone beige and black interior theme. In terms of features, Skoda Slavia is equipped with connected car tech, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a sunroof, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, rear centre armrest, GPS tuner, ambient lighting and more.
The Skoda Slavia will be available with two TSI petrol engines: a 1.0- or 1.5-litre TSI, both of which are coupled with front-wheel drive. The depending on the variants, the front-wheel drive Skoda Slavia will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed DSG. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol produces 115 HP and 175 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI engine churns out 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque. mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, same as with the 1.0 TSI. The 1.5 TSI petrol engine can also be configured with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The Skoda Slavia is available in five colours. In addition to the new metallic Crystal Blue paintwork, which is exclusively reserved for the new saloon, the colour options include Tornado Red, Candy White, metallic Brilliant Silver and metallic Carbon Steel, as seen on the Škoda Kushaq.
