BYD Seal receives 200 bookings in India

BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicles (NEV) manufacturer, today announced that as of March 6, 2024, it has received 200 bookings for its electric luxury sedan, the BYD Seal since its grand launch on March 5, 2024. The bookings showcase India’s strong appetite for luxurious and high-performance electric vehicles.

The BYD Seal has already been well received by customers across the world and has gained global recognition. With its recent nomination as a finalist for ‘World Car of the Year’ at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, and its historic partnership with the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 (UEFA EURO 2024), this electric sedan has further entrenched its prowess and capabilities. As a further benefit to customers in India, BYD India has introduced a slew of high value offers for those booking the BYD Seal by March 31, 2024.

The BYD Seal is offered in three competitive variants – Dynamic at Rs 41,00,000 (ex-showroom), Premium Rs 45,55,000 (ex-showroom) and Performance Rs 53,00,000 (ex-showroom). These variants and their pricing reflect BYD’s relentless effort to providing electric vehicles at competitive prices, ensuring accessibility for a wider range of consumers in India. BYD aims to make its sales and service network cover 90% of the Market, providing people max. accesses to EV technology, product experience in India.

The D-segment electric sedan represents a step to build on a complete Born EV portfolio of MPV, SUV and Sedan for various customer segments in India. The BYD Seal’s 3 variants – Dynamic, Premium and Performanc. This high-performance electric sedan that has won itself an iF Design Award and features Cell to Body (CTB) and intelligence Torque Adaption Control (iTAC) technologies, and is based on the cutting-edge e-Platform 3.0. With optional rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, advanced suspensions, and 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.8-seconds for Performance variant, it offers impressive performance and a range of 650km for Premium variant. The car’s aerodynamics and interior space are enhanced by the CTB technology – design that integrates the battery within the structure of the chassis itself, enhancing safety, packaging and passenger space. For a safe and intelligent driving experience, the BYD SEAL is equipped with ADAS Level 2, NFC card integration, and 9 airbags, making it a well-rounded, stylish, efficient, and safe vehicle.

Customers who book a BYD Seal by March 31, 2024, will receive exciting benefits (as per booking policy) which include a 7kW home charger and installation service, a 3kW portable charging box, a BYD Seal VTOL (Vehicle to Load) mobile power supply unit, 6 years of roadside assistance, and one complimentary inspection service. In addition, the BYD Seal comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty (whichever earlier) for the traction battery, an 8-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever earlier) for the motor and motor controller, and a 6-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever earlier) for the vehicle itself.
