    BMW has launched the X3 M in India, the BMW X3 M is the BMW’s first-ever M car in its high-performance model line-up in the mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment. The first-ever BMW X3 M is now available across BMW dealerships in the country as a completely built-up unit (CBU).

    The all-new BMW X3 M sports a BMW kidney grille with black double bars. The signature M gills are integrated into the Air Breathers on the front flanks. The exterior mirror’s special M design brings about a further reduction in aerodynamic drag. The new X3 M runs on a 20-inch M light-alloy wheels. The first-ever X3 M is available in Donington Grey, Toronto Red, Phytonic Blue, Sophisto Grey, Black Sapphire & Alpine White.

    The X3 M’s M-Specific cockpit features 12.3-inch Multifunction Display touchscreen, iDrive Touch Controller, multifunction steering wheel’s buttons, the voice control feature along-with the optional BMW Gesture Control, the electrically adjustable sports seats, Vernasca leather upholstery, M-specific cockpit, M leather steering wheel and M gearshift selector lever.

    3. New high-revving 3.0-litre engine

    The new BMW X3 M is powered by a newly developed 3.0-litre, six-cylinder in-line engine with superlative performance. The latest M TwinPower Turbo technology comes with track-tested cooling & oil supply systems. The high-revving mill churns out maximum power of 480 hp from its 3.0-litre displacement, together with peak torque of 600 Nm, and shoots from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.

    4. M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic

    The 480 hp, six-cylinder in-line engine is mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and uses the new M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

    The first ever X3 M uses the new M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which made its debut in the BMW M5, to channel its power to the road. The M xDrive system has a rear-wheel bias and offers BMW X3 M owners two AWD driving modes. The centrally controlled interaction between M xDrive and the Active M Differential at the rear axle allows the all-wheel-drive system to split the engine’s power between the four wheels as required to deliver optimal traction, agility and directional stability. 

    6. Sublime dynamics

    The new BMW X3 M features the new M-specific suspension â€“ double-joint spring strut front axle and five link rear axle. With three settings selectable at the touch of a button, the M-specific suspension’s dampers can be electronically controlled according to road conditions. Like the damper control systems and M xDrive modes, the engine and transmission characteristics and steering set-up can also be adjusted at the touch of a button.

    The new X3 M comes with the BMW Safety technologies such as front, side and head airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including M Dynamic Mode, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control, Dry Braking function, Cruise Control with braking function along with Collision & Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function.

    8. M Driver’s package

    The new X3 M comes with standard features like Adaptive LED headlights, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, High Beam Assistant and Parking Assistant. M-specific display content can also be shown on the BMW Head-Up Display, projecting driving information onto the windscreen & into the driver’s immediate field of vision. In addition, the options list for the first-ever BMW X3 provides further scope for individualisation that includes 21-inch light alloy wheels, BMW Display Key, M Sport exhaust, M Driver’s package & Harman Kardon Surround Sound System.
