Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new Swift facelift in India at Rs. 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The third generation Swift sports a revised front grille with a horizontal chrome slat in the middle and will be available in three new dual-tone colours.

On the interior, the new Swift facelift sports a new twin-pod meter cluster and a new 10.67cm multi-information coloured TFT display. The 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio infotainment system now combines smartphone, vehicle, and cloud-based services with Android Auto and Apple Car play connectivity.

    1.2L Dual Jet Dual VVT

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by a next generation K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with Idle Start Stop (ISS) technology. The 1.2-litre Dual Jet Dual VVT engine produces 90 PS of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The Swift facelift can be had with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Maruti Suzuki claims that the Dual Jet technology (2 injectors per cylinder), coupled with Dual VVT (variable valve timing for both Intake and Exhaust valves) and cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system result in higher fuel efficiency with lower emissions. The 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift has an ARAI fuel efficiency of 23.20 kmpl in the manual version and 23.76 kmpl in the automatic version.

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift comes with features like engine start/stop function, cruise control, LED DRLs, LED headlamps and taillamp, reverse parking camera, automatic headlamps, flat-bottom steering wheel and sync auto foldable ORVM.

In terms of safety, the new Maruti Suzuki facelift comes with safety features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Dual-front airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and hill-hold function.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift’s price ranges from Rs 5.73 to 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Swift facelift competes with likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Ford Figo.
