Hyundai stops production at Chennai Facility due to COVID-19 outbreak

Hyundai Motor India stops manufacturing operations at the Chennai facility from today onwards till further notice to stop the spread of corona virus (COVID-19). Hyundai Motors will resume production only after further notifications from the State Government (Tamil Nadu).
 
Additionally under the Hyundai Cares Program, Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) has reiterated various initiatives aimed at promoting safety and welfare of all its stakeholders by providing 24×7 roadside assistance to customers in case of any emergency.
 
Hyundai will offer extended support of 2 months to customers who are not able to avail vehicle warranty/ extended warranty/ free service due to health emergency or dealership shutdown in affected cities. Hyundai Motors India has also deployed 1000 Doorstep advantage bikes / emergency road service cars to provide any assistance to customers.

Hyundai offices have been advised to prioritise the welfare of the employees and meeting customer expectations through practices such as Remote Working, Shared Working etc. Over the past weeks, HMIL has set up measures for educating employees and families, Thermal Screening, restricting visitors, regulating travel, and setting up Emergency Response and Management team to meet contingencies. All the dealer and the vendor partners have also been directed to strictly follow similar advisories.
